About Us
We’re Enstarz! (Hi, nice to meet you!) We’re aiming to be the Zillennial voice in Entertainment and Pop culture…in other words, if you were born around the mid-90s, think of us as your nerdy friend who always knows what’s going on with TV and movies, and can always explain why something’s trending on Twitter. (Like Kelly Kapoor.) We’re out there mining the facts from all the gossip, so you don’t have to. (And, like Lady Whistledown, we’ll only talk smack if they deserve it.)

Melanie Weir
Melanie Weir is Enstarz’s New York Editor, but when she’s not scanning these articles, you might find her singing along to Disney musicals and emo bands, watching sitcoms, or writing…because she can’t seem to stop doing that, ever, unless she’s talking. Speaking of talking, you might also find Mel co-hosting “Made You Watch…A Podcast,” with writer Adam Mock, where the pair share and discuss their favorite movies with one another from across the generation gap.
Melanie is based in Brooklyn, New York, where she lives with her two roommates - both fellow Seton Hall grads - and a cat of her own that she’d like to have someday. (That was an Office reference. She makes a lot of those.)
Adam Mock
A graduate of Film/Television, Adam Mock toiled in NYC’s indie film scene for years before discovering his passion for writing. Having worked on novels and screenplays, he made the jump to film criticism in 2016 and hasn’t looked back. During the pandemic, Adam was able to publish his first children’s book ‘What Does My Dog Jack Do At NIght?’, and became an entertainment journalist at Enstarz shortly thereafter.
An occasional curmudgeon with a soft side, Adam Mock strives to deliver all things entertainment to the world.
Carly Polistina
Carly Polistina is an actor, writer, stand-up comedian, Assistant Entertainment Editor here at Enstarz. Polistina has performed stand-up comedy all over the country. She was in the Best of Fest at the 2021 Burbank Comedy Festival and the top 101 with the World Series of Comedy. Her original play, ‘Annies and Kleptos’ was produced in New York City through Rogue Theater Festival in 2019. Connecticut Critic’s Circle Award nominated her for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play, alongside Broadway veterans including Judith Ivey and Sierra Boggess, for her work in Connecticut Repertory Theater’s production of ‘The Crucible.’
When she is not working on one of her many side projects, you find her posting celebrity impression and character videos online.

JESSICA CHEN is a Video Producer at Enstarz and Enstarz’s sister sites with a passion for TV and film. A Maryland native, Jess enjoys writing about Asian and other international media when not obsessing over global entertainment industry trends and machinations.
