Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian have been in headlines lately and director Baz Luhrmann came to their defense at the Sydney premiere of his film The Great Gatsby in Moore Park on May 22.
Luhrmann said at the premiere that he is rooting for Lohan to regain her former promise as a "talented actress."
Lindsay Lohan has reportedly gained five pounds since her Adderall was taken away a week ago at the Betty Ford Clinic in Rancho Mirage.
Lohan has become emotional in the week since she stopped taking the drug under doctors' orders and has turned to food for comfort. She has put on weight as a result.
Lindsay Lohan reportedly claimed bad press does not bother her.
In an interview with Lohan included on the DVD release of Liz & Dick, the film about Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, in which she portrayed Taylor, Lohan said:
"I understand the downfalls [of fame] and how you may feel when people kind of put you down in the press and I understand kind of fighting through that. You get to a point where ... you ignore it," Lohan said. "You become numb to it and you just live your life the way that you feel you need to live it."
Lindsay Lohan wants out from rehab at The Betty Ford Center because doctors at the world famous drug treatment center have taken away her supply of Adderall. After her first week at the Betty Ford center, reports had been coming in that Lindsay was doing great and keeping on the straight and narrow, until doctors told her they wanted to take her off the drug.
Lohan takes the drug for her ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) but doctors at Betty Ford prefer to treat the ailment with non-addictive Adderall alternatives.
Lindsay Lohan reportedly cannot leave the ground of the rehab facility she is currently in, according to a new report. The actress is confined to the grounds of the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif., where she is serving a 90-day rehab sentence, according to People magazine. Patients at the rehab clinic typically earn privileges allowing them to go off the premises for a short time, for example to go shopping, but not Lohan.
