Gabby Sidibe might only have a recurring role on Fox’s Empire but she’s definitely one of the audience’s favorites as Lucious Lyon’s loyal assistant Becky dished on if her role on the mega popular show has impacted her personal life.

Sidibe, who got her claim to fame in the Oscar-winning film Precious spoke with Chicago Tribune recently and revealed whether the show has boosted her life in the romance department.

“No, it has not. It is exactly as sad as it was before. (Laughs.) I’m actually not sad. I like to make this joke that I’m lonely, but I’m not. I’m alone but totally not lonely. But no, acting has done nothing for my dating life.”

For all of the guys who do want to get close to Sidibe, she revealed what you shouldn’t do.

“What it does is that any guy that wants to get close to me or wants to be friends with me, wants to come up or whatever, they flirt with me. And that gets really confusing. I just assume anyone who is genuinely flirting with me, sorry, I don’t believe you.”

Still, she isn’t shy when it comes to talking about her crushes. In fact, other than Beyonce, one of her crushes is an Empire co-star.

She confessed, “You know who I’m crushing on? Jussie Smollett, who you know is one of the stars for ‘Empire’ and I just love him so much.”
