For a while now, health buffs all over the place have been putting serious emphasis on kale. Everywhere you turn there's a kale smoothie or a delicious kale salad, some people even try to lie to themselves and make kale chips a healthy alternative to what the potato was fine doing all on its own. The leafy green is inescapable, and now a yoga guru is claiming it's not as great as you're lead to believe.

In an article by The Daily Mail, yoga instructor Lauren Imparato who operates I.Am.YOU.Studio in NYC explains that the veggie is actually bad for you because the mass consumption can lead to stomach and digestion issues, as well as kidney stones and a lower metabolism.

Those of you out there who are totally superfragikale-gelistic out of your minds obsessed with this super veggie may have just gotten a cramp in your style after reading this. I'm sorry, but it's for your own good.  After all, Lauren isn't a doctor or dietician so if you choose not to heed her advice and munch bags of kale like it's going to disappear tomorrow, that's on you. Although you probably should cut down on your green addiction, Imparato does say there are ways to still eat it, just eat it in moderation or cook the food beforehand because raw is not the way to go.

Let's keep in mind too that kale is not the only leafy green high in iron. Collard greens have a good amount (most people cook them, never seen them eaten raw,) as well as spinach which is delicious in raw form. Not really sure how else to tell you to kick your potentially bad habit, but make sure you do everything in moderation.

It seems too much of a green thing will leave you feeling blue.
