Maria Menounos Will Replace Giuliana Rancic On E! News [Report]

Following Rancic's exit from E! News earlier this month, news of an alleged feud between her and Menounos surfaced. However, according to Rancic, she did not leave the network, nor was she fired, as Menounos came aboard.

"It was 100 percent my decision to leave," Rancic confirmed to PEOPLE Magazine. "I brought up the idea to leave three years ago, but E! News kept extending me because they wanted me to stay. This has been three years in the making."

"I took on a challenge 14 years ago. I was a young reporter, and E! News was my dream job. It's been an incredible journey. But after 14 years, I have nothing else to accomplish on the show. I want to grow as a person, as a businesswoman, as a host, and in order for me to grow, I need to take on a new venture and new challenges."

Throughout 2015, Menounos has appeared on E! News a number of times, and also been seen on Red Carpet specials. According to Us Weekly, she will be joined on E! News by Zuri Hall, Erin Lim and Sibley Scoles.

Rancic's last episode will be filmed on Aug. 10.
