Peters, who is getting ready to star in his fifth season of American Horror Story, recently spoke with the Television Academy, a.k.a. the organization that votes on the Emmys. In the new interview, it was revealed what type of character Peters will be playing in Hotel.

According to the report, Peters is playing "a Howard Hughes-type eccentric." For those unfamiliar, Howard Hughes was an entrepreneur best known for his aviation and his filmmaking. Hughes was the subject of Martin Scorsese's 2004 film The Aviator, with Leonardo DiCaprio playing the man.

Peters had previously revealed that his character is named Mr. March, with AHS boss Ryan Murphy tweeting that he will have something to do with "Room 64." So it can be assumed that Peters' character will be involved in some odd behavior, and who knows what might go down in Room 64.

The actor told the Television Academy that playing crazy roles on American Horror Story has been "exhausting" but ultimately, "it's opened a lot of doors." In discussing his role in Hotel, Peters said, "I'd like to play darker."

Peters has never played an inherently evil character in his American Horror Story career. Will this change with Hotel? Only time will tell.

American Horror Story: Hotel is slated to premiere in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
