Angelina Jolie is one of the most famous actresses on the planet, but she may not be in front of the camera for much longer.

The A-lister and fiancee of Brad Pitt said in an interview this week that she is most likely planning to retire from acting when her children start to grow up and need more of her time. She recently told Britian's Channel 4 News that while she loves acting, her family will ultimately come first.

"I will do some films and I am so fortunate to have the job, it's a really lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it. But if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy to be home with the children," Jolie said. "I think I'm going to have to give up the acting as the kids hit the teenage years, anyway, too much to manage at home."

Jolie and her longtime partner Brad Pitt have six children together. Three of them are adopted, including 11-year-old Maddox, 9-year-old Pax and 7-year-old Zahara. The remaining three children are all biological offspring of Jolie and Pitt, and they include 6-year-old Shiloh and 4-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Jolie had spoken about wanting to retire before. She expressed a similar sentiment during a 2010 interview with Vanity Fair.

"Acting helped me as I was growing up. It helped me learn about myself, helped me travel, helped me understand life, express myself, all those wonderful things," she said at the time. "So I'm very, very grateful, it's a fun job. It's a luxury. Look, I'm at work today in the middle of Venice. But I don't think I'll do it much longer."

But Jolie isn't the only member of her superstar family who is considering leaving the acting world. Pitt mentioned he is also tossing around the idea of retiring while he promoted "Moneyball" in 2011.

"I wasn't actually putting an exact deadline on my expiration date, but I see it coming," Pitt said. "I just have other interests."
