With Emma being swallowed up by darkness in the season 4 finale and eventually turning into the Dark One, parents Snow and Charming will do what it takes to bring her back to the side of good. But this won't be without conflict between them.

Goodwin and Dallas recently spoke with PopSugar about where Snow and Charming stand in season 5 when it comes to saving Emma.

Asked if Snow and Charming will have different approaches for saving Emma, the actors revealed there will definitely be tension.

"Oh, yes we are going to be tested," Goodwin said, with Dallas adding, "I think you can bet on some tension between Snow and Charming."

While Goodwin admitted that they haven't received scripts for season 5 yet, she observed that there will probably be some "strain" in their relationship.

Meanwhile, the new season will also introduce Camelot into the plot. Goodwin and Dallas talked about Charming's connection to King Arthur.

"I think [creator] Adam [Horowitz] said it is part present and future. Camelot is happening right now. In terms of Charming, you are going to see a bromance with King Arthur (Liam Garrigan), and you are going to see Charming at his most heroic," Dallas said.

Goodwin added, "That is a good role for Charming."

"He did sword fight with a baby in his arms, and we are going to see him even more heroic than that," Dallas said. "I can't imagine what that is going to be, but I look forward to it."

Once Upon a Time season 5 premieres Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
