There was apparently a report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry this week that claimed the actor's girlfriend, FKA Twigs, was pushing him "toward mainstream roles." The site supposedly said that Twigs wants Pattinson to stay on the A-list "and put bigger checks in the bank." So it might be better if he made more popular films.

But on Friday, Gossip Cop discovered that there is "not a shred of truth" to this report. It was also pointed out how Pattinson is already an A-list actor, which entitles him to make any type of film he wants.

The actor became a massive movie star during the success of the Twilight films where he played Edward Cullen. One of the producers Wyck Godfrey recently opened up to The Hollywood Reporter on these films and how he tries to remain close with the actors.

"We keep in touch with all of them in the way you keep in touch with actors who have busy lives and are half your age," Godfrey said via Gossip Cop. "Every half-year we catch up and try to find something else to work on together."

The producer also thinks it was a good idea for Pattinson and his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart to be in movies that aren't blockbusters.

"They've each been really smart about the way they've followed up their Twilight careers in that they've not jumped into big studio fare in general," he said. "They've chosen directors and movies based on the movie, not the size of the movie."
