Prepare to let some tears fall when Downton Abbey goes off the air.

Is There Going To Be A 'Downton Abbey' Movie?

On Saturday, Elizabeth McGovern who plays Cora Crawley on the British drama, took to Twitter to post photos of her last days on set. One photo ought to cause some emotions to run as it shows her hugging one of her co-workers in a sweet embrace. In the caption, she pointed out how there are lots of tears.

'Not Everyone Will Have A Happy Ending' On 'Downton Abbey'

In another snapshot, McGovern poses with Hugh Bonneville, known as Robert Crawley on the show. The actor strikes a pose with his co-star as McGovern says farewell.

In a previous post from UPI, executive producer Gareth Neame pointed out that even though people will be disappointed if something horrible happened to the characters, it won't be all rainbows and butterflies.

"There's a lot to get done in these final nine episodes," Neame said. "This is ultimately a happy show that people love so I don't think we're going to end with lightning striking the house and the house is exploded or something. But not everyone will have a happy ending."

Downton Abbey Season 6 will premiere in the United States on Sunday, January 3 on PBS. There is also supposed to be a Christmas episode in December.
