The middle third of the supersized season will bring viewers fight scenes like never before. From land skirmishes to full on sea battles, History Channel's most infamous warriors will bring their 'A' game next spring.

"Our great writer Michael Hirst has written these amazing episodes for the [second third of season 4] and we've got boat battles, capsizing boats and Vikings fighting on the sea, which is what they did fantastically well and we've never done it so far," Clive Standen (Rollo) told Nerdgeist, going on to tease "adventurous and insane stunts and battle sequences."

Vikings, which films a large chunk of their scenes in the lakes of Ireland, is no easy feat to produce. Standen took to Twitter to thank the series' talented crew at the start of August, promising that the upcoming run will be "incredible" thanks to their hard work (see photo below).

"Shout out to all the hard working crew on land & sea who really slogged it out in the elements this week to get the shots we needed," Standen wrote. "It's because of them this season of #Vikings is going to be incredible!"
