Dancing With the Stars executive producer Rob Wade and co-executive producer Deena Katz recently spoke with Glamour about the upcoming cast. While they would not reveal who specifically will be involved in the season, they did say they were almost done casting.

"We're just about done," Katz said. "We're close."

"We're about 4/5 of the way there," Wade added. "We like to be around [this number] since we're a very current show. The premiere of the show is still over a month and a half away, which is a long time. So you want to see [who's current in the news]."

When asked if the reality series was bringing on anyone from an '80s sitcom (a DWTS staple), Wade said they like to "throw the nostalgia in there."

As for the judges, Wade said they were still in discussion with Len Goodman about his presence on the show.

"We're still talking to Len [Goodman] at the moment. He has a new grandson, and he's got the U.K. show, so I've said to Len, 'Look, don't make a decision now. We'll see where we are.' Whatever happens, I can tell you that he may not be there for every show, so we'll get guest judges again," Wade said.

Wade also said that the new season will be about "taking risks" creatively.

Dancing With the Stars returns for a new season Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
