Meghan King Edmonds admitted on Twitter this week that her and Jim's relationship began before his marriage to Allison Edmonds came to an official end.

On Tuesday, the Real Housewives of Orange County star was forced to explain her relationship after a fan shared a screenshot, which made it appear that she and Jim had an affair while he was still married to his second wife, Allison.

Edmonds is the newest housewife on The Real Housewives of Orange County, having been chosen for the role earliler this year, ahead of filming on season 10.

In response to the tweet, which clearly showed the two had been invoved since at least April 2013, Edmonds offered the following statement.

A short while after Edmonds' explanation was shared, she received some online support from fellow Bravo star Cameran Eubanks, of Southern Charm.
