It's official: Star Wars land is coming to a Disney park near you. It's been announced that a Star Wars-themed park will be opening in both Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The announcement was made during the D23 Expo in Los Angeles on Saturday.

According to the official Disney Parks Blog, both parks will give fans the opportunity to experience a world in "a galaxy far, far away."

The report also says that it will be Disney's largest single-themed land expansion at 14-acres each. Park guests will be able to visit a "never before seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before wild space where characters and their stories come to life."

Walt Disney Company Chairman and CEO Bob Iger told the D23 audience, "I am thrilled to announce the next chapter in the long and exciting history between Disney Parks and Star Wars."

He added, "We are creating a jaw-dropping new world that represents our largest single themed land expansion ever. These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new Star Wars planet, including an epic Star Wars adventure that puts you in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance."

Many additional attractions will also include the Millennium Falcon, where fans can go on a customized secret mission, and an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle.
