'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6: Who Will Be Married In Midseason Premiere? Marlene King Reveals Shocking Answer

The ABC Family actress has played Aria for five and half seasons so far, but when filming wraps on season 7, the Rosewood teen will become a thing of the past. For Hale, this will happen next October.

"l'll be done next October with [Pretty Little Liars] forever, which is exciting, but also scary at the same time because it's the next chapter of my life and so I'm really looking forward to exploring different and darker roles," Hale told V Magazine.

Hale, however, may find out that her time as Aria will last a little longer than originally planed. Showrunner Marlene King has teased the possibility of an eighth season or even a movie.

"That's always been the ultimate goal, is that it ends its life in one medium and starts another life on film. I love that," said series creator Marlene King, according to E!. "Oh we want an in-theaters film! Big, big, big opening weekend, with all those Pretty Little Liars fans are coming out. It would be so much fun. And we'd get to do so much like big stuff too."
