For Vicki Gunvalson, this year has definitely been all about changes, and hopefully for the better. There's a new report that says the Real Housewives of Orange County star has finally broken up with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Brooks Ayers, who has been accused of verbally abusing her in the past.

The couple made a joint statement about their break-up on her Facebook page.

Gunvalson wrote, "After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four year relationship. We both wish nothing but a great future for each other. We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths."

The blonde beauty added, "There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives. we choose to live our lives in the public eye, we thank you for your understanding and ask privacy during this difficult time."

What's more, Ayers has been accused of "faking" his cancer diagnoses. During an interview back in July, Gunvalson's co-star Heather Dubrow opened up about Gunvalson's boyfriend, hinting there may more more to his cancer story than what fans have seen.

"I think the whole thing will sort of be tried by the court of public opinion," Dubrow explained to Perez Hilton. "I have always been a big supporter of Vicki and Brooks. I love Vicki, she's a good friend. There are just so many inconsistencies and there were some lies told, and it's really, really... disturbing. And then what do you say? You hope it's not true, but then you don't want to hope someone is ill."
