You would think with the cast of NCIS filming some emotionally draining scenes due to the status of Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the domino effect it is likely to have, the cast would feel down by association since they are the portrayers of these characters.

'NCIS' Writers Have 'Most Cohesive' Plan With Season 13

Feeling blue on set of NCIS just doesn't seem like a possibility though.

Pauley Perrette, who is better known as Abby on the show, dished on Twitter Friday night into early Saturday morning about the series having "so many #SetDogs" that happen to be "all rescues."

'NCIS' Season 13 Premiere Episode Officially Titled 'Stop the Bleeding'

Perrette showed off Colonel Clink, who is a female pooch that was hanging out in Perrette's chair on set.

Two other pooches got a little Twitter action courtesy of Perrette too In between takes it looked like Perrette was on the floor of Abby's lab giving Phineas and London belly rubs.

Perrette elaborated that the dogs belong to various members of the NCIS crew. How cool is it that they bring their pets to set? Perhaps these dogs will make guest appearances in some future episodes if they're almost always on set.

The pup love aside, Perrette also shared a set secret about one of her character's upcoming ensembles on the new season.

Perrette revealed last Thursday that the dress she is wearing as Abby had a nicer back than front so she "wore it backwards." It's adorned with skulls and is red, black and white with a cool lace-up detailing.

The NCIS star also shared pictures of herself on set with her costar Sean Murray, who is better known as Timothy McGee by viewers of the show.

They were still in Abby's lab for the pictures. Murray happened to be dressed very unlike his character, which Perrette pointed out, noting he had just arrived on set in his own clothing.

NCIS returns to CBS on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
