Fans should prepare to see Tracy Morgan back on their television screens as the actor will be hosting Saturday Night Live this fall.

The news was announced via the SNL Twitter account on August 17, revealing that Morgan, Amy Schumer and Miley Cyrus are going to be getting the party started in October:

Morgan also tweeted that he was looking forward to "be going home."

Morgan had been a cast member on the show from the year 1996 to 2003, and pretty much started his career and received recognition on SNL.

The actor was part of a horrific car crash in June 2014 in New Jersey Turnpike. The collision was caused by a Walmart transport truck and Morgan later sued Walmart for negligence.

in June Morgan gave his first interview to Matt Lauer on Today, and expressed surprise at having survived the crash.

"I can't believe I'm here; I can't believe I'm in front of you," Morgan said. The actor also spoke about the case with Walmart having finally been settled but how that doesn't take away from the psychological scars from the accident, and the loss of his friend 62-year-old James McNair.

"The case is settled, but the pain is always going be there," Morgan said. "Bones heal, but the loss of my friend will never heal." Morgan explained that Wal-Mart took "full responsibility" for the accident, settling with both himself and McNair's family. "I'm just glad my friend can rest in peace now," he said.
