Fans have been freaking out following the circulation of a photo that appeared to show Emma Watson wearing an iconic yellow ball gown as Belle in Disney's upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast musical.
Though an actual glimpse of Watson in the role was shown during the D23 Expo over the weekend, an unofficial photo (which was later revealed to have been photoshopped) did make the rounds online and many have responded positively to the image-and are in awe of how gorgeous they believe the actress is as the iconic princess.
Several fans who saw the original images at the Expo have weighed in on how she looked, admitting that the actress was gorgeous and everything they imagined for Belle:

Others have also weighed in as fans, but expressed their upset about how they had to miss the action at D23.
I didn't care about missing D23 until I heard that they revealed Emma Watson as Belle. I'm trying to not cry rn — William(@willywonka12321) August 15, 2015
Missing a preview of Emma Watson as Belle is yet another rub of salt in the wounds of not being where the people are. #D23

However, shockingly, some who saw the photoshopped image have spoken out and claimed they think the photo doesn't look so good-and that they still don't approve of Watson in the role.
Emma Watson as Belle is worse than Jared Leto as the fucking Joker!!! #BeautyAndTheBeast NO NO NO NO NO pic.twitter.com/yHSHkgzBpV — Holly Carnell (@Cherrybomb_Hol) August 18, 2015
Regardless of how fans feel about the image, the film is slated for release in 2017.
