Recording artist Miesa is fairly new to the industry, but she is easily gaining plenty of fans given her natural ability to take her personal experiences and turn them into genuine lyrics.

The Siri Music Group R&B/pop singer's latest single "Blame My Ex" has been out for just over a year, following, "Nope (Can't Let Go)" and "Antidote," which were released back in December and April of 2013.

"Blame My Ex," like Miesa's previous singles, was penned by JacksonCroft (Chauncy Jackson and Kim "KC" Croft), who have worked with Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson and many other R&B/pop artists so Miesa is in good hands when it comes to crafting meaningful lyrics in this genre.

Plus, like her previous singles, the three producers known as The Chemistri (La Derrick Perry, Eddie Rooks and Phillip Lewis), whom all have extensive backgrounds in musical instruments, which adds to their production style, produced "Blame My Ex".

"It was amazing [working with them]!" Miesa gushed to Enstars about working with the songwriters and producers, adding, "They're so creative and so talented. I love that they know music so well. I feel at home."

"Blame My Ex" features a catchy musical production and infectious chorus, but the song's most noticeable feature is that it manages to possess a somber quality due to its lyrical content overall. It has some serious (yet relateable) melancholy lyrics, so it shouldn't be surpising that, according Miesa, the words "come from a personal place."

"I'm sure everyone has experienced a breakup and how it affects you. It's like after you start to kind of recover, you don't ever want to get stuck in another situation like that again," she shared.

As we mentioned, the single released last year, but is still gaining new fans, which Miesa believes is because of its honest lyrics.

"I would attribute its success to the reality of the song. I feel like men and women around the world can relate to it. We've all been there at some point in our lives. When I first recorded the song I was like 'Wow, this is my life right now,'" she explained.

"Blame My Ex" is about coping with heartbreak and finding it difficult to jump back into the dating game. Any potential suitors are warned about the ex playing a major role in the lack of trust available these days. Take a listen below from the lyric video!

As for work on a full-length album and more songs, the New Jersey native admits to being super busy recording lately.

"I've been in the studio the last two weeks recording new music and finishing other songs that my team and I needed to complete," Miesa revealed, adding, "I should have the first official single off the album out soon, and we're hoping to release my first album this winter."

Keep your ears tuned into Miesa!
