Laverne Cox doesn't see much validity in the rumors that Caitlyn Jenner is set to guest star on Netflix's Orange Is the New Black.

Cox, who plays Sophia Burset in Orange Is the New Black, recently shot down claims that Jenner, fellow transgender celebrity, is set to cameo on the prison-set series.

"I have no idea about it, but I think that's pretty out there," Cox told the Star recently, before adding: "You never know. I have no idea what's happening in (show writer-creator) Jenji Kohan's mind or our casting director's mind about casting, but I'm pretty sure that's not true. I'm not involved in casting of our show, but it is really funny the rumors . . . it's pretty ridiculous sometimes."

It is not known how Jenner would even appear in Orange Is the New Black, and she's not even an actress to begin with, so the rumors seem pretty unfounded.

In the mean time, Cox said that she is being "challenged" as they continue production on season 4.

"I'm very challenged by the work that is required of me this season and I'm very excited about that to continue to grow as an artist and hopefully meet the challenge Jenji and her writers are putting forth for me," Cox said.

Orange Is the New Black is currently streaming its first three seasons on Netflix, with the fourth expected to be released in summer 2016.
