The target may be switching in the Big Brother 17 house, but the new discussions may not be serious.

John Focused On Targeting Vanessa Next On 'Big Brother 17'

Head of Household: Liz Nolan

Nominees: Becky Burgess and John McGuire

Other houseguests: Austin Matelson, James Huling, Julia Nolan, Meg Maley, Steve Moses and Vanessa Rousso

How Long Will The 'Big Brother' Houseguests Keep Vanessa In The Game?

Becky and John have done surprisingly little campaigning to the other houseguests despite the live eviction approaching. Becky is still expected to be evicted (unanimously), though Vanessa might have other ideas.

Becky realized one of her toes was causing her great pain after the Veto competition and she had to wait several hours before a doctor could help her in the Diary Room Wednesday. She spent much of the day voicing her pain to the other houseguests, who were sympathetic.

After Becky finally got treatment on her toe, Liz and Austin wondered if she was exaggerating her pain as strategy. They thought she might be trying to hype up that she is injured so she doesn't seem like a threat, and therefore everyone would choose to keep her.

Julia took Becky's pain at face value and asked Liz and Austin if it might be better to keep her. Liz immediately shot down the plan.

Meanwhile, Vanessa had the same train of thought and strategized with her (supposed) allies to get out John instead. Again, they shot down the idea.

It's still looking like Becky will be the one evicted tonight, but there are some seeds of doubt being planted within the house.

Big Brother 17 returns for a new episode tonight, Thursday, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The episode features the live eviction and the next Head of Household competition.
