Spider-Man may bite off more than he can chew in Captain America: Civil War.

'Captain America: Civil War' Spider-Man To Have A Larger Role? Tom Holland Returns To Set

The teenage web slinger will make his MCU debut in Caps third outing, and it appears the newbie will go head-to-head with the title character himself.

The news comes from Marvel spoiler guru, Umberto Gonzalez at Heroic Hollywood. Actor Tom Holland is currently wrapping up his Spidey role in Germany, and Gonzalez reports that the youngster was seen battling the First Avenger as the final week of filming kicked off.

As per usual, however, Marvelites should take all spoilers with a grain of salt. Marvel Studios prides itself on its ability to keep a secret, so every new tidbit that leaks out should be treated with kit gloves until official conformation is provided.

It is known, however, that Spider-Man will side against Captain America in the 2016 film. The Superhero Registration Act is poised to tear the superhero world in half, and Team Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) will be comprised of The Vision (Paul Bettany), Spider-Man, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and War Machine (Don Cheadle) while Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) will oppose the act with Caps.

A fight between Spidey and Caps, therefore, wouldn't come as a huge surprise.
