It's nearly time to dive into the Doctor Who season 9 premiere, and the BBC has provided viewers with some tantalizing new photos to make the final leg of the hiatus just that much more bearable.

'Doctor Who' Season 9: Prepare For An 'Invasion Of Invisible Streets'; Steven Moffat Dishes on Episode 10

The ninth season is set to open with a two-parter from the mind of Steven Moffat. Titled "The Magician's Apprentice" and "The Witches Familiar," the season opener will bring back the Master (Michelle Gomez), UNIT, and the Daleks.

You can get a look at two of these returning staples in the photos above. UNIT's Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave) can be seen contemplating Earth's next threat while Clara Jenna Coleman) appears to be at UNIT's HQ.

The Master, meanwhile, is looking particularly conniving. Missy is far from dead, and the devilish Time Lord will actually work with the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) in the premiere. How's that for a switch up?

"The mechanics of that story are slightly different," Capaldi told Den of Geek. "It's good, it's good. Michelle's great. She's very funny. But it's slightly different. We sort of help each other."

Moffat furthered this explanation while speaking with Doctor Who Magazine (via Doctor Who TV), informing fans that Missy fits nicely with the "friends within enemies" theme of the premiere.
