Marisa (Sofia Pernas) has become quite an intriguing character on The Young and the Restless who can certainly hold her own amid all the chaos happening in Genoa City.

Marisa has easily become a fan favorite character since her connection to Marco (Peter Bergman) was revealed on the CBS soap. Viewers have watched her interact with Jack (also portrayed by Bergman) as well as Noah (Robert Adamson) and other Genoa City residents.

Fans have been able to question where her loyalties lie too given the latest happenings in town.

Pernas dished to SoapCentral recently all about portraying Marisa and what's coming up for her.

Marisa is a fiery female and Pernas revealed that she isn't able to speak slowly when portraying her since Marisa "barrels words out."

"You can't really slow talk with her," Pernas reiterated.

It's a good thing that Marisa is a fast-talking, quick-tempered woman since she has quite the back-and-forth with Marco, Jack and even Victor (Eric Braeden) on the daytime show.

"She's the resident spitfire of Genoa City, and going head-to-head with Eric Braeden, I mean... he's a legend. It's such an honor to have that kind of war with him," Pernas explained of what's coming up between Marisa and Victor.

"But you know, this isn't Marisa's first rodeo. And that's how I sort of imagine it. She has been through this before. This probably isn't her first rich guy," Pernas explained, adding, "She makes a point of [being around] affluent gentlemen, so I'm sure she knows how to handle somebody like Victor. Victor certainly has strange and unorthodox ways of doing things, and she's no stranger to the unorthodox. So I think it's a good pairing. I think she'll be able to handle most of what he can throw at her. But we'll see! He's a daddy bear protecting his cub, so we'll see how she will handle that."

Then in the love department, Pernas believes Adamson's character has shown Marisa "unconditional love" in their short relationship so far since her previous suitors have never shown "a safety and a security" with her.

While it seems like Marisa is totally keen on keeping her relationship with Noah it is possible she can grow bored given what she is used to so Pernas dished that "he'll have to find ways to keep her interested."

Plus, Noah will have to keep fighting for her since his family still apparently won't be so keen on his romance with her.

"I think seeing Noah fight for her kind of gets her off a little bit, because she feels important enough to be fought for, especially with the Newman family," Pernas shared, adding, "So I think that's also a huge thing, that Noah is being a man and stepping up to the plate and telling his family, 'You know what? Screw you. I love this girl, and that's that.' That means a lot to her."

It sounds like Marisa will be around for quite a bit of time in Genoa City with interesting storylines playing out.

The Young and the Restless airs on weekdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
