In its latest spoiler report TVLine dropped a very interesting reveal for season 7 of The Good Wife.

Alicia's New Look And Office For Season 7 Revealed

While addressing the question of Robyn's (Jess Weixler) return, co-creator Robert King, revealed that the plot is going to thicken vis-a-vis the rivalry between Alicia's (Julianna Margulies) new firm and Cary Agos Lee. King stated that they might have to drop Robyn from season 7 because Weixler was working on other projects in Los Angelees and to "flying her out for every episode" was not quite in their budget.

King urged fans to coax Weixler into moving back to New York. ("Can everybody write Jess Weixler and get her to move to New York again?")

Alicia Won't Partner Up With Louis Canning In Season 7

He added that he though Weixler was "amazing" and "and things may change; they always do."

But here's the juiciest bit: King went on to reveal that in fact Alicia's new firm and Cary Agos Lee will be sharing an investigator, which is going to "cause some strain" between them. We recently learned that Jeffrey Morgan Dean was set to play Alicia's new investigator, Alex, now that Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) has left the building. But there hadn't been any hints about him also playing investigator for Cary Agos Lee. He is going to have to be one hell of an ethical guy to pull this off.

Previously, in an interview with TVLine, Morgan talked about his character and how Alex and Alicia will really hit it off.

"I can tell you that he's an ex-lawyer who got into some trouble and finds himself now being an investigator. He's got a laid-back personality and a quick wit. I like that kind of dynamic. And I think it will be a nice dynamic for Julianna to play off of," he said.

He also addressed rumors about his character possibly evolving into a romantic interest for Alicia, as her leading prospects in that department had left by the end of season 6.

He kept mum at first: "I don't know," he said. "I haven't been told that. I know there's a lot of speculation."

But then he seemed to have added fuel to the fire when responding to how Alicia and Alex's first meeting on the show goes down. "She's going to hire him, so, yeah, they do hit it off," he said. "She's intrigued by his personality."

Season 7 is set to premiere on CBS on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m.

The season 6 finale, entitled 'Wanna Partner?', aired on CBS on May 10.
