Lindsay Lohan did not appear at her court hearing on Wednesday, where prosecutors accused the actress of violating her probation, and a court date was set for Jan. 15 in which Lohan could face jail time if prosecuted, according to People.

The "Liz & Dick" star exercised her right not to attend the court hearing and was instead represented on Wednesday by her lawyer Shawn Holley, who denied that Lohan violated her probation in relation to a necklace-theft case. Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Jane Godfrey revoked Lohan's probation and set the January court date that will set a hearing in the probation case and a trial on charges of obstructing an officer, lying to an officer and reckless driving in car accident she was involved in in June.

"We're all hoping to get this behind us very quickly," Holley told reporters.

The publication added that Los Angeles and Santa Monica prosecutors attended Wednesday's hearing because the car crash occurred in Santa Monica while the necklace theft took place in Los Angeles. The Jan. 15 court date is the next step in a verdict that could send the 26-year-old to jail for up to 245 days if convicted.

Perez Hilton reported Tuesday that Lohan skipped her court date to go with The Wanted, including her rumored love interest Max George, to London and then Dubai. The gossip website also quoted a source that said the other four members of The Wanted aren't pleased with how much time Lohan has been hanging around the band.

"Ever since Max and Lindsay started hooking up several weeks ago, his fellow band members have found the amount of unwanted (pun intended) attention the group has received horrifying," a source said. "Lindsay brings all of her nonsense and drama. It's only a matter of time before Max and possibly the band are caught in the crossfire of Lindsay's wild antics."
