Eleven new teams are set to take off on a race around the world in the attempt to win a million dollars on the upcoming 27th season of The Amazing Race, and now, the tasks they will face on their first leg have been revealed.

The Season 27 Cast's Identities Are Revealed

In a gallery of photos talking about what to expect this fall on various shows on CBS, what the teams will encounter as they start their race from Venice Beach was revealed.

"Eleven new teams take off on the journey of a lifetime from Venice Beach, Calif. and head for Rio de Janeiro, where teams take a thrilling helicopter ride and face a huge decision at the Fast Forward, on the season premiere," a caption on a photo of the teams at the starting line reads.

CBS has not released official cast photos or a promo for the season yet, though the names of the teams were revealed as they took off from the starting line of the race.

The teams are:

1. Ernest Phillips and Jin Lao: Brothers from Boston

2. Denise Williams and James Earl Corley: Mother and Son from Prattville, Ala.

3. Cindy and Rick Chac: Newlyweds from San Diego, Calif.

4. Alex Manard and Adam Dingeman: Cousins from Champaign, Ill. and Des Moines Iowa

5. Justin Scheman and Diana Bishop: Engaged couple from Philadelphia

6. Jazmine Lewis and Danielle Littleton: Athletes from Los Angeles

7. Tanner Kloven and Josh Ahern: Best Friends from Dallas

8. Kelly Berning and Shevonne Sullivan: TMZ Editor and Post Production Supervisor from Los Angeles

9. Kelsey Gerckens and Joey Buttitta: Dating news anchors from Santa Barbara, Calif.

10. Logan Fazio and Chris Gordon: Dating Paparazzi from Miami Beach, Fla.

11. Tiffany Chantell Torres and Krista DeBono: Friends from Hoboken, New Jersey and Staten Island, N.Y.

The Amazing Race season 27 premieres Friday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
