Survivor host Jeff Probst reveals who he would align with from the upcoming Cambodia season.

Will Jeff Varner Be The 'Survivor: Cambodia' Mastermind?

Probst spoke with Xfinity's Gordon Holmes right before Survivor: Cambodia began about who he would trust in the game. Holmes presented the host with the choice to either "align" or "malign" with each castaway, with the twist being that he only gets eight "aligns" out of 20.

The host picked many alpha males to "align" with, including Pearl Islands' Andrew Savage, San Juan del Sur's Jeremy Collins and Worlds Apart's Joe Anglim, plus super-fan Spencer Bledsoe of Cagayan. He even said he wouldn't mind losing to Jeremy or Joe!

Will the 'Survivor: Cagayan' Four Make An Alliance In 'Cambodia'?

Probst picked a fifth male to align with: Jeff Varner of Australia. The host said he likes Varner's sense of humor.

As for the women, he expressed a lot of hesitance in aligning with most of them. But the first woman he said he would align with is Kelly Wiglesworth of Borneo. He said there is something "pure" about Kelly, plus she has physical strength to hold her own.

Probst felt the same way about Tasha Fox of Cagayan, saying she's physical and is a good leader. The host would also align with Blood vs. Water's Ciera Eastin, saying that she is often underestimated and that she is "here to play."

This may not tease anything about Cambodia, but it does show who Probst might be favoring slightly in his interactions with castaways. It also indicates the type of player he would align with if he really did play the game. He is naturally drawn to physical strength and leaders who are willing to make moves, while sneaky women are a no-go.

Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance premieres Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
