Another baby is set to be born on ABC's Castle next season!

Alexis Will Become A 'Young Woman' On 'Castle' Next Season

Kevin Ryan (Seamus Dever) and his wife Jenny (Juliana Dever) will be having a baby in season 8, according to a new TVGuide.com report. The new baby will cause Kevin to be more active in getting a bigger paycheck at the 12th precinct.

"We have some exciting news for the Ryan family: They're expecting another kid," new co-showrunner Terence Paul Winter told the publication. "Ultimately, that's going to make Ryan even more paranoid and more excited about trying to make more money. When he sees Beckett rising up in the ranks, the boys realize it's time for them to start looking at their futures, which is going to create some tension and conflict between them."

As Winter alluded to, Beckett (Stana Katic) is on the rise within the precinct. She will be promoted to captain, which cause Kevin and Esposito (Jon Huertas) to step up their games.

Winter also addressed the upcoming arrival of security specialist Hayley (Toks Olagundoye). While Hayley will be working closely with Castle (Nathan Fillion), fans do not have to worry about certain lines being crossed.

"It's always been about the Castle-Beckett love story. That's steeped in the DNA of the show, and that's what it will always be," Winter said. "Now, it's about exploring the next evolution of it. How do we deepen that love story? What challenges can we put their way that can put their romance at a much higher, different place?"

Castle season 8 premieres Monday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
