Following her ex-husband Corey Simms' rant on Twitter, explaining why he felt Messer was struggling with a "drug problem," the Teen Mom 2 star revealed her plan to stay happy.

"If you want to be happy, you have to be happy on purpose," the message read. "When you wake up, you can't just wait to see what kind of day you'll have. You have to decide what kind of day you'll have."

On Friday, following a new episode of Teen Mom 2, Simms, who was married to Messer from late 2010 to spring 2011, claimed he had good reason to accuse Messer of hiding her possible addiction from himself and wife Miranda.

"Idk why I'm tweeting this because I honestly do not care what people think or what they say about me but anyways. There is a reason for everything that Miranda and myself have said or done. We simply want the girls to grow up in a safe and healthy environment," he wrote. "There is a lot of things that has been told to us by very close members of her family that lead us to believe the things being told are very much true. If we didn't care about the girls or the situation we would obviously not have anything to say or do about it. Thank you to the people who understand and to the people that don't well that just sucks now don't it?"
