Is Kaitlyn Bristowe set to join ABC's Dancing With the Stars anytime soon?

Alexa Vega & Carlos Pena Will Make History On 'Dancing With the Stars' Next Season

Bristowe, who first hit our television screens on ABC's The Bachelor and later as the subject of the latest season of The Bachelorette, is interested in competing in DWTS.

But will she be competed in the dance competition this fall? Unfortunately, no.

'DWTS' Judge Len Goodman Is Leaving The Show

"The timing isn't right," a source told E! News recently, "but she loves the show and hopes to keep the door open for another season down the road."

Bristowe previously spoke with the publication about the possibility of her competing in DWTS, saying she would have a good shot of winning the Mirrorball trophy.

"I feel like I'd win. Am I jinxing myself by saying that? I might win." she said. "I think it would be fun."

Her fiancé Shawn Booth added, "That'd be amazing to watch!"

Dancing With the Stars has been very welcoming to Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants over the years. Chris Soules, Jakes Pavelka, Sean Lowe and Trista Sutter have all competed on DWTS in the past. The most successful, though, was Melissa Rycroft, who returned for DWTS All Stars and won the trophy.

The current cast slated to participate in season 21 this fall includes Bindi Irwin, Victor Espinoza, Nick Carter, Chaka Khan, Hayes Grier, Alexa Vega and Carlos Pena, Jr. More will be announced by Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Dancing With the Stars season 21 premieres Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
