Taylor Swift turned 23 on Thursday, Dec. 13.

According to several reports, Swift has been celebrating all week with her new beau, One Direction bandmember Harry Styles, by touring England, his native country.

A fan took a photo of the couple in rural northern England being escorted by Styles' mother and posted it on Twitter.

Swift's whirlwind trip began on Tuesday when the pair "dined on traditional England food" at the Rising Sun pub in the Peak District in the Hope Valley area, PEOPLE reported. The pub's manager, Sarah Walker, disclosed details about the couple's fun evening.

The couple ate dinner by an open fire in a country pub with two other friends around their age. The couple remained low-key and appeared to be more friendly than romantic, Walker shared.

"She was polite and pleasant - fantastic," Walker told PEOPLE. "She is just having a nice tour of England. They were like any typical group of people having dinner. Everyone thinks they are a couple, but to be honest, we had no sense of that at all."

Swift was reportedly very friendly and told Walker that she "loved" Britain and was "excited about her birthday."

Since the couple's outing has been leaked to the media, Walker revealed that the pub has been receiving phone calls from around the world with requests for reservations to sit in the exact alcove by the fire where Swift and Styles dined inside.

The following day, Styles and Swift were also spotted in a gift shop in the Lake District. Their interaction was described as "goofy."

Swift purchased children's toys at the World of Beatrix Potter gift shop. The store's employees described her date Styles as "nice and charming." Chief executive Andy Poole told PEOPLE: "They were dancing around to the seasonal music being played. Harry was being the most boisterous." To the disappointment of eyewitnesses, the couple "didn't give any impromptu concert."

Styles made Swift's actual birthday on Thursday extra special when he surprised her with something a little extra sweet. The One Direction singer gave her a box with a total of 23 custom cupcakes. One cupcake for every year since she was born,

"Harry Styles bought 23 custom cupcakes for Taylor Swift from Custom Cupcake Company in Chapelford, Warrington this morning," a rep for the store told Us Weekly. "The cakes were a selection of 12 flavors, including ones filled with candy floss and a mint liqueur center. It was kept very secret to make sure there wasn't a mob waiting to greet him when he pulled up."

The rep, Kelly Blakey from Custom Cupcake Company, revealed that Styles placed the order only 24 hours before her birthday and the company had no idea who the rush order was for.

"We were later told it was Taylor's 23rd birthday today by another source," Kelly told the entertainment weekly. "When he came, he just said he was there to pick up the cakes and said the house smelt nice. He was really sweet, polite and a lovely guy. To be honest I was a little giddy and star struck. He was a perfect gentleman."

Swift's birthday had professional milestones as well.

She released her 23rd music video for her latest single "I Knew You Were Trouble" on her 23rd birthday. The video stars the lead from the hit Broadway play, "Spiderman Turn Off The Dark" actor Reeve Carney as her love interest. Swift also earned a Golden Globe nomination for "Safe & Sound,"her single on the "Hunger Games" soundtrack.

"Best birthday surprise EVER-just found out that Safe&Sound is nominated for a GOLDEN GLOBE!! Thank you @goldenglobes and HFPA! #hungergames," Swift tweeted on Thursday.
