On Friday, Joseph Morgan, who plays Klaus on the series, took to Twitter to let fans know that the new season of the morbid drama will be nothing less of incredible. Coming from one of the show's leading stars, this says a lot.

The actor's hashtag 'Blood, Tears and Betrayal' could mean a lot of things, but whatever happens, the series might be willing to push its limits even further and add more deranged storylines.

One particular storyline that fans can expect is a detective coming aboard played by Jason Dohring (Veronica Mars). As he tries to solve crimes, he might come to the epic conclusion that the world is filled with supernatural creatures.

"There is a crime that happens in the first episode, and he comes in to investigate it," producer Julie Plec recently told The Hollywood Reporter. "He's working closely with some of our characters. The question is, how much does he know or not know about what's going on in the supernatural world? And what's going to happen to him as a result of digging too deep?"

The Originals Season 3 premieres on Thursday, October 8 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
