He was the last person to see her alive, and now, Chad (Billy Flynn) will find himself as the prime suspect in Serena's (Melissa Archer) murder on Days of Our Lives. 

Eric Makes A Shocking Discovery

The two had been drinking together at the pub over their respective issues -- Chad had officially lost Abigail (Kate Mansi) for good and been disowned by his father, while Serena lost Eric (Greg Vaughn) and $250,000 to Nicole (Arianne Zucker). Things got heated, however, when Chad wanted to take things further, and the last thing he can remember is following Serena out of the pub after she slapped him. The next morning, she was found dead in the park, and Chad has no recollection about what happened after he left the pub.  

Now, Rafe (Galen Gerig), who was initially kicked off the police force because of a scheme Chad orchestrated will use his newly reinstated badge to grill the young DiMera about his relationship with Serena -- and just what he was up to with her the night before.  

Chad & Serena's Night Takes A Horrifying Turn

More specifically, Rafe may become interested in learning if Chad appears to be missing a necktie at all, which could throw him off. A necktie was the murder weapon in Serena's case, as she was strangled with one-and if Chad's DNA is found anywhere on the tie, it could prove to be the nail in his coffin and he could find himself locked away in the Salem jail on suspicion of murder.
