He initially told his girlfriend he didn't want to have a family again after having already done it with his past wives, but Ridge's (Thorsten Kaye) decision to change his mind about having a baby with Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) will stun everyone on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Thomas Questions Caroline About Her Relationship With Ridge

After talking to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and realizing that if he didn't consider the possibility of fatherhood again he would lose Caroline for good, he decided to surprise her by revealing he would do whatever it takes to keep her in his life -- including have a baby.

"You know, the fact that you would choose me over having your own child, that is amazing to me," he says to her in a preview clip for the Monday, Aug. 31 episode.

Thomas Makes His Move On Caroline

However, his change of heart may also prove to be more surprising to someone else -- his son, Thomas (Pierson Fode), who knew that the baby issue could be his way back into Caroline's heart. Now, after he returns to the office and runs into Brooke and learns what his father is now up to, he will be floored by the lengths his father is going to ensure he gets to stay with his younger muse.

"I think he's at home right now, talking to Caroline and telling her he wants a baby," Brooke says to Thomas in the clip.

"Maybe I've been underestimating him," Thomas replies. "Maybe he's way more invested in Caroline than I thought."

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
