Kim Richards injured her foot days ago, and on Wednesday, the spokesperson for Los Angeles County DA released a statement.

Days after the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star missed a court appearance, Ricardo Santiago spoke to Us Weekly, confirming prior reports regarding Richards' injury.

"Kim didn’t appear, she was supposed to but she didn’t — they said she had injured her foot and because of that she was unable to attend," Santiago told the magazine. "The judge accepted the explanation so the attorney appeared on her behalf."

One day prior to Santiago's statement to Us Weekly, Richards' friend and former co-star, Brandi Glanville, spoke to Entertainment Weekly about her "disgusting" foot injury.

"I think she didn't want to go to the hospital because the press," Glanville said. "I was like, 'Oh my God! Go to the doctor.' She was like, 'I cant.'"

According to Glanville, she saw the photos of Richards' injury, and immediately recommended she seek medical attention.

As for Richards' ongoing sobriety struggles, Glanville explained, "It's hard, because, you know, I'm a friend. I'm not, you know, a sober companion. Obviously, I'm not a coach. You know, I'm there for her as a friend. I will always take her calls, and that's really all I can say about it right now."

During court, Richards received three years probation, and was required to complete 52 Alcoholic Anonymous classes and 30 hours of community service.
