A source close to the couple says that they've only been staying together for the sake of their careers, and not because of their four children.

According to Naughty Gossip on Wednesday, the British couple have supposedly been living in a "sham marriage" for years and that it will only be a matter of time before they come clean about the state of their marriage.

A source told the site, "If it weren't for their public image, they would've split years ago ..... It's all part of promoting Brand Beckham."

Back in November of 2013, Victoria herself admitted that her marriage hasn't been easy while she opened up about the "ups and downs" of being a celebrity couple.

In an interview with Vogue Paris' December issue, Victoria said without giving away too many details, "We've had our ups and downs. But we're so proud of each other."

David and Victoria have been married since 1999 and have four children together, Brooklyn, Cruz, Romeo, and 3-year-old Harper Seven. So far, they haven't made any comments about the divorce rumors.
