President Obama has been known for his approachability to the masses on social media in the past, but now, the president of the United States has made bigger headlines after commenting on a photo posted on The Humans of New York Facebook page.

The image, which features an Iranian father and son, tells the story of the time the father realized his now ten-year-old son was growing up with the heart of a humanitarian.

"Today's his tenth birthday. He's a very emotional young man. He likes to solve other people's problems. One time when he was five years old, he came with me to the store and we bought two pounds of fresh apricots. I let him carry the bag home. He walked a little bit behind me the entire way. After awhile, I asked him to hand me an apricot. 'I can't,' he said. 'I've given them all away.' I knew then that I was raising a humanitarian. (Tabriz, Iran)," the caption in the photo read.

The story, which resonated with many, garnering over 400,000 likes and 35,000 shares, did manage to strike a chord with the President-who was one of the many to comment on the photo as well.

"What an inspirational story. One of the most fulfilling things that can happen to you as a parent is to see the values you've worked to instill in your kids start to manifest themselves in their actions -and this one really resonated with me," the President's comment read. "I hope this young man never loses his desire to help others. And I'm going to continue doing whatever I can to make this world a place where he and every young person like him can live up to their full potential. (And if I ever get to meet him, I hope he'll save me an apricot!)-bo."

It didn't take long for others to notice that the President took time out to comment on the photo, something many praised him for with their own comments.

"Well said! It is great to have a President that cares. Keep up the good work!" one person wrote.

"I love you," another added.

Another person of note who left their mark on the photo was Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerburg, who liked it.
