NCIS is about to premiere its new season on CBS, but it is also still filming it and sometimes there is a lot of downtime on set.

Longtime cast member Michael Weatherly, portrayer of Tony DiNozzo, is fond of the downtime with fellow cast member Brian Dietzen, portrayer of Jimmy Palmer, since it results in some video gaming!

On Wednesday, Dietzen revealed an image of himself with Wetherly on set playing a golf video game.

"Happily passing the hours between scenes," he dished while thanking Microsoft for the hookup.

That's not all that's happening on set though between scenes. Dietzen also snapped a photo with his onscreen morgue coworker Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard since that actor (David McCallum) is releasing his debut crime novel Once a Crooked Man in January.

Dietzen gushed he was "pre-ordering this book" on Wednesday and further shared his excitement for his friend.

Then on Thursday between shooting scenes, Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto on the series), snapped a photo of herself with Dietzen, Emily Wickersham (Eleanor "Ellie" Bishop on the series) and it looks like Lucy Davis will be guest starring in an episode.

NCIS returns to CBS on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
