It stars Joe “Rev Run” Simmons’ daughter Angela Simmons, Percy “Master P” Miller’s son Romeo Miller as well as Damon Dash’s son of the same name, Egypt Criss whose father is Treach of Naughty By Nature and mother is Pepa from infamous hip hop duo Salt N Pepa, and El DeBarge’s niece Kristinia DeBarge along with TJ Mizell, whose late father, Jam Master Jay founded legendary Hip Hop group Run DMC.

The show tells the life of the cast who, unlike their parents, were born into million dollar families who were trailblazers in the Hip Hop music industry.

Romeo tells cameras that his father has been “grooming” him for this lifestyle since he was a child. Viewers might remember his rap career when he was just a tween.

As for Angela, she plans to branch out on her own despite coming from such a huge family name (her uncle, Russell Simmons, is also famous).

“I don’t intend to spend my life living in my family’s shadow.”

This isn’t the first time Angela will be starring in a reality series. Her family’s show Run’s House ran on MTV for six seasons. She and her older sister Vanessa also had their own spinoff series Daddy’s Girls that was pretty successful as well.

Kristinia describes her family tree as “a blessing and a curse” while TJ Mizell is proud to have taken after his father. As for “Boogie” Dash, his father who launched a successful business with Jay Z back in the day, is helping him focus on the business side of music. Meanwhile, Egypt struggles with her mother being a little too hands on when it comes to her career name.
