The week may be bittersweet for pop star Britney Spears.

While the singer seems to be victorious on her first season as a judge with "The X Factor"- her contestant Carly Rose Sonenclar is a frontrunner for the show's finale this week- a source said her fiance Jason Trawick plans to end their engagement.

Hollyscoop reported that Trawick wants to sever personal ties with the singer after "The X Factor" ends this week. And the worst part about it is that she doesn't even know it yet.

A source told the gossip website that Trawick, who is also Spears' manager and conservator of her estate, already shared the news of an impending breakup with the "Toxic" singer's family so they will be ready to provide her with the emotional support she'll need when he breaks up with her.

"Jason has told Britney's entire family that he's planning to leave her, so that Britney will have a support system when he breaks the bad news," an insider said.

Another source, who did not hear anything about the couple splitting up, said they are still going on vacation after "The X Factor" finale.

Things could get really uncomfortable for the pop star since the source added that Trawick would like to maintain professional ties with Spears after they split. He became Spears' conservator and was granted legal power over her financial affairs just last April. Spear's father filed the petition for Trawick to become a co-conservator several months after their engagement, according to TMZ. Trawick, together with Jamie Spears, make the decisions about Britney's money, including her $15 million deal with "The X Factor."

Spears tops Forbes' list of Highest Paid Women In Music by earning $58 million in the past 12 months.

Trawick proposed to Spears on his 40th birthday in December of 2011 with a Neil Lane ring. The singer began dating Trawick in 2009. She has two sons, Preston, 7, and Jayden, 6, with ex-husband Kevin Federline whom she divorced in 2006.
