The apocalypse is still in its earliest days on Fear the Walking Dead, but it will quickly start becoming more and more real for Madison (Kim Dickens), Travis (Cliff Curtis) and their families.

The Apocalypse Hits Closer To Home

The group has become separated in different part of Los Angeles after Travis tried to find a way to rescue his ex-wife, Liza (Elizabeth Rodriguez) and son, Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) from what was going on-but the shelters both they and Madison and her kids, Nick (Frank Dillane) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam_Carey) are currently in will soon prove to keep them in danger.

Madison is locked up at home with her son and daughter, without power, and waiting for Travis' safe return-as their own neighbor succumbs to the disease and begins attacking everyone around him-including the other neighbors. Now, as he walks the street, he could prove to be a very real threat to the family as they realize that a locked door isn't necessarily a safe barrier from the danger.

Is 'FTWD' Being Criticized For Killing Black Characters?

"DON'T OPEN IT!" Madison and Alicia yell at Nick in a preview clip for the Sunday, September 6 episode, after a distinct scratching noise is heard at one of their windows.

Meanwhile, Travis, Chris and Liza will be kept from the shelter they received with Daniel (Ruben Blades), Griselda (Patricia Reyes Spindola) and Ofelia (Mercedes Masohn) at their barber shop after it proves to no longer be safe. The group will manage to get into Travis' truck and start trying to make it back to Madison-but things will get harrowing as they drive past a local hospital-and are shown that not even a traditional safe haven is truly such a place anymore.

In a clip for the episode, the group is stunned as they see chaos at a hospital-and are forced to all duck after cops open fire on a patient who has since stumbled out of the hospital and is also infected.

Fear The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
