Fans have already grown to love the relationship that has formed between Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Madison (Kim Dickens) on Fear the Walking Dead, but they may need to be forewarned that getting too attached to them as a team isn't such a good idea.

The Danger Becomes More Real On 'FTWD'

In a new article on Forbes, the possibility that the show's writers would kill off one of their two leads has been officially thrown out there-sparking the debate that it could in fact happen.

The situation is being speculated that the couple will eventually be reunited in the sixth episode, which serves as the season one finale, only for one of the two to show that they have been bitten at some point by a zombie-unaware at the moment, since it is the beginning of the apocalypse, that it is a serious thing and the one who has been bitten needs to be killed. It would be here where the show would end the action, only to pick up in the second season with them dead and gone, and remaining partner moving on with a harder, stronger, and more badass attitude than before, now that it has gotten personal.

Does 'FTWD' Have A Problem With Killing Off Black Characters Too Soon?

Given the precedent show's history of killing off major characters in dramatic fashion for the shock value at times, the possibility that one of the other could be killed isn't too far-fetched of an idea, because it would allow the show to then rebuild similarly to The Walking Dead, with a single fixed character as the leader of the group of survivors.

As for who it is that's predicted to be the one who goes down if this is the way it plays out? Sorry Travis fans-the odds may not appear to be in his favor.

Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
