There was a recent report on Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson where it was claimed the actor didn't attend the Venice Film Festival because he didn't want to have an awkward run-in with his former girlfriend.

According to Page Six via FOX News, Pattinson backed out at the last minute to shoot a new movie even though this was supposedly just an excuse.

Whatever the case may be, the former couple is going to have to avoid the reports since they'll never be able to fully move on with their lives if they keep hearing crazy stories about each other.

On Tuesday, Vanity Fair wrote a column on the ex-couple saying that it doesn't matter if years have passed or if they're dating new people; Stewart and Pattinson are forever linked.

"They can date other women, they can give interviews about their new lives, they can grow up and change and thrive, but they will always be stuck together, seared into our gossip cortex as one entity, forever circling each other, forever in a fraught pas de deux," the site wrote. "I'm sorry, Robert and Kristen. That's just how it is."

Pattinson is reportedly engaged to British singer FKA Twigs. Stewart has been rumored to be dating her friend Alicia Cargile.

Unfortunately, that does not change the chatter that will always be tied to these two.
