Is there a chance that Nashville could last for another decade?

Is Deacon Going To Die For Only So Much Time On 'Nashville?'

It's definitely too soon to tell since the ABC series has yet to air the fourth season. But one of the actors admitted that he would love it if the show stuck around for a good while longer.

"Let's hope Nashville runs for another 10 years because I love my job," Chris Carmack, who plays Will on the series, told The Boot in Thursday's report. "But let's say it doesn't. I am going to try to make as much headway as I can to do as much music as I can."

Will Something Happen With Zoey & Gunnar On 'Nashville?'

When the actor and everyone else involved with the series wasn't sure if there would be a fourth season or not, Carmack was pretty confident that they would be back again.

"I'm an actor. I'm always worried about everything," Carmack said. "I will say that I felt like there was more confidence that we would be back for the fourth season than there was for the third. I think that has to do with the argument about syndication. There's the saying, 'You get the third, then you get the fourth.' That was enough for me to feel a little more confident."

"Anytime we go on hiatus, anytime we're off the air, I consider myself unemployed, and waiting to find out if I've got a job again," the actor added.

Nashville Season 4 premieres on Wednesday, September 23 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
