Jackson Harris is a native New Yorker and YouTube sensation, earning over 5 million views and counting. He's earned fans through his infectious covers of hits, like One Direction's "Drag Me Down," as well as original songs, like his current hit "Feet on Fire".

Enstars got the chance to catch up with the musician, prior to the announcement of his latest European adventure with Jacob Whitesides for "The Broke Billionaire" tour, about his music, touring and more.

ENSTARS: What spurred all of your recent covers since they're all current songs?
Jackson Harris:
Well, I want to have more content. When I went to VidCon recently I saw the response all these other creators were having from their content and the connections they were having so I realized I wanted to make way more content. I realized I was being a little bit lazy and getting a little bit too comfortable so I ultimately wanted to push myself to create a new cover each week... I wanted to test myself and see if I could do all of these songs, which are usually spanning different genres. In doing this I've learned a lot musically so it's kind of been a crash course.

Which cover has been your favorite?
My favorite cover so far is the first one I did. The "Empire State of Mind" cover, which I loved. But usually I would have to say my favorite cover is always my next cover. It's always like the next one.

What's the inspiration behind your latest single "Feet on Fire"?
Well, I love dance music just like about anyone else right now, but there wasn't any dance music that was rock and roll based and growing up I always listened to the stuff that my mom listened to when she was a kid. So The Beatles, Billy Joel, The Beach Boys and all of that old school rock and roll that made you want to dance... It all had that pop feel... So I wanted to do something a little different and a little funkier for this song than what's out now.

Tell us about your music video for it.
We partnered up with Gibson Guitar who was nice enough to let us use their studio in New York City to shoot the video and we worked with a CGI artist cause there are a few things we added in there that I think will light the whole video up.

Are you planning on releasing any other original content within the rest of the year?
Yeah, I have a lot of new original songs! Instead of releasing them all at once I'm going to be releasing a song kind of every month... I have a new song called "Dance with the Devil" that will be coming out probably in the first week or two of October. I'm super excited about it. It was co-written by this group called The Elev3n who co-wrote with Meghan Trainor [on her album].

We've seen your tweets to Hoodie Allen and his in reply, so will he be collaborating with you on your song "Tomorrow Hasn't Happened Yet"?

I don't know... So I tweeted at him that I have this song that I thought would be interesting if he'd put a bridge on it and he tweeted back telling me to send him the song in an email, but I don't have Hoodie Allen's email handy. So I found his business email and sent it there so we may get a response back or we may not, but the universe works in weird ways and the Internet works in even weirder ways. I would love to work with him. He's awesome, crazy talented and he'd put a great vibe on the song!

We know in April and May you were on tour in Europe where you have toured previously so what was that experience like?
Yeah, we went last summer [in June and July] with Cody [Simpson]. It was great. We ended up coming on for half of that tour because I was touring with Fifth Harmony so there was no real prep... This time I did have time to prepare. Cody's team is great and Cody's an awesome musician so it was awesome to be over there again with him... Being able to travel back to some of those cities we previously visited and to see fans we saw last time was the coolest thing to me... I would love to play Europe as much as possible, but I definitely want to do a full U.S. and Canada tour so we're working all of that out for this year.

What are your tour essentials?
I have to bring at least 5 extra iPhone chargers because they disappear quicker than socks and underwear. I definitely have to bring a lot, a lot, a lot of socks and underwear because while on tour there's not a lot of places where you can do your laundry, but I wind up packing way too many clothes. The other thing I advise for tour is really good shower shoes. And that doesn't sound like much, but when you're touring with two other acts and you're playing in these venues in different countries where sometimes English isn't the first language you only have a few hours to get a shower in before the next show so you wind up having to share a shower. It could get a little like summer camp or a locker room... But for the most part the most important things for me were my cell phone and guitar.

What's the No. 1 venue on your bucket list to perform at?
Radio City Music Hall in New York City! I'm sure everyone always says Madison Square Garden, which I of course would love to play, but as a New Yorker I've been to a lot of concerts at Madison Square Garden and they're great, but they don't have the same acoustics as Radio City Music Hall. I've seen Jason Mraz, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran at Radio City and it all just sounded so good. It's a beautiful theater. Performing there would be a dream come true. To be from New York City and to play at Radio City Music Hall that's the goal.
