Chrissy Teigen is trying to clear the air after she made it clear she put extra reins on her husband John Legend, and said he’s not allowed to be around nannies.

Thankfully her and John are able to laugh off the backlash at this point.

She wrote about an hour ago that the joke is “ruining her life” and added that to make up for it she’ll ad “two hot nannies” to their staff.

What she might not have expected was for John to be okay with that.

She first broke her silence after getting criticism on Friday when she tweeted, “just like low carb diet of licking chip, my ‘no hot nannies’ comment was joke, clearly lost upon many. what is life. why must i type this”

She continued with, “I don’t just go into random rants about hot nannies. The post asked, I joking answered. It isn’t that deep.”

Her tweets come after she had an interview during the New York Fashion Week festivities at Lauren Conrad’s show on Wednesday and said she doesn’t want to hire an attractive nanny.

“No hot nannies, drivers or maids. It’s an ongoing joke at my house. I do want to have kids one day, so it’s something that I have to think about. But the rule is no hot nannies. I trust John, but you never know with these men…These days, it doesn’t really matter what you look like—sometimes cabin fever just strikes nd men do the do…It’s too late for me though, because I have a hot assistant.”

Some took the comment as a jab to actor Ben Affleck and his now estranged wife Jennifer Garner after it was revealed that he cheated with their nanny, Christine Ouzounian. The two had been married for ten years.
