It appears some major characters could be exiting the canvas on Days of Our Lives in conjunction with the current serial killer plot-and some of the names on the list are actually quite surprising with legacy characters from the show potentially making exits in the next few months.  

The first big name being floated as an exit is Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva), who only returned to the show in 2014.  

According to The Inquisitr, DePaiva's exit isn't linked to the serial killer storyline with Eve being killed off, though Eve could potentially be leaving Salem after the killer did strike and take away her daughter, Paige. Without Paige still there, Eve's connection to the town of Salem isn't as strong, making her less usable for storylines. In addition, the fact that her daughter was murdered young, while the two were estranged, could lead to eve having too many bad memories to make staying in town easier for her.  

Also officially slated to be leaving is Dr. Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian), who was rumored to be exiting in June, though it was never confirmed. However, Serial Scoop is now reporting that it is confirmed, and the character will be completely killed off-though his death won't be linked to the serial killer. It is unclear just how the doctor's character will be wiped off the canvas, and what it will mean for his current fiancee, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).  

Also continued to be rumored as leaving is Will Horton (Guy Wilson), who is set to be killed by the serial killer. The rumor has been circulating for a while, especially with the departure of his on-screen husband, Sonny (Freddie Smith) last month, though Wilson has denied reports of exiting the show.  

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
