Actor Denis O'Hare is adding more credence to the new season of FX's American Horror Story being similar to season 1.

Why Was 'AHS: Freak Show' Completely Shut-Out At The Emmys?

O'Hare, who is set to introduce his boldest character yet in American Horror Story: Hotel, spoke with TVLine at the Emmys on Sunday about the overall feeling of the new season.

"The theme is different, but also the feeling on the set is different," O'Hare teased (in the video featured below). "But I think it's going to be really scary. It feels like Season 1 in many ways ... and I think it's because we're back in LA. You can't help it!"

'American Horror Story: Hotel' Will Be 'Dark, Moody' And 'Hot'

American Horror Story has been filmed in New Orleans the past two seasons. This will be the first time the show has filmed in Los Angeles since Asylum.

O'Hare will be playing a character named "Liz Taylor" in Hotel, a crossdresser who idolizes the actress of the same name. Liz Taylor works at the hotel and is made up very similarly to Elizabeth Taylor. O'Hare spoke about wearing an old costume of Jessica Lange's from a previous season.

"I actually had to try on one of Jessica Lange's costumes from Coven that she didn't wear... and it fit!" he admitted. "I was very happy."

O'Hare lost at the Emmys on Sunday, as did his AHS: Freak Show co-star Finn Wittrock. Both were nominated in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie, with O'Hare having played Stanley and Wittrock having played Dandy. Both actors lost to Bill Murray in HBO's Olive Kitteridge.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
